Key Takeaways

We share God's goodness and protection in the middle of the storm. Stop listening to Gurus. Follow your instincts and (listen to the Holy Spirit. "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." - John 14:26 The world is full of you-centered gurus putting the focus on you. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit helps us navigate life and make sound decisions. The Holy Spirit informs our choices. The world is loud, and social media is noisy, but we need to get quiet to hear from the Holy Spirit. "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth!" - Psalm 46:10 ESV.

Be still. Stop collecting gurus.

There is only one book you need, The Bible. Give yourself quiet, gestalt, and meditate on the word. Focus, pray, listen, get quiet, and get in the word. Peter discusses the gifting of discernment that he has honed over the years. The Holy Spirit guides and directs us. Misty shares leaving Enron to come home and homeschool their boys. Peter talks about Misty's child-like faith. God has blessed Misty's business efforts because of faithful obedience and listening to the Holy Spirit. Your faith and work life need to be congruent. Stop looking for external validation. God will equip you; He equips the called. You have got to move, launch, and go. Then the Holy Spirit will lead you. Fear Some people are always learning but never doing. Fear holds a lot of people back from pursuing their dreams. Step out when we are afraid. We are still seeing the struggles of mental health.

Resilience

Hard men make good times, good times make soft men, and soft men make bad times. We can tap into the Holy Spirit and the resurrection power. The Holy Spirit will guide you when you move. Small moves incrementally lead to victory. "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire." - 2 Peter 1:3-4 ESV
