Doing Ministry as a Family

Living on Life on Mission

Living life on mission is more than a summer mission trip to a foreign land. Living on mission is a lifestyle of loving and serving others. The Phillip family has served together in many ways over the years. From helping start a special needs preschool ministry to using their children's musical gifts to bless the special needs ministries, and at nursing homes. Or more recently, baking for their neighbors or serving their local community hundreds of meals and mucking out houses after Harvey, and opening their home on Thanksgiving to those who would otherwise be alone.

Ministering together as a family is a great way to teach your kids to love and serve others. Training them to look beyond themselves and preparing them to meet the needs of others.

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” - Matthew 22:36-40 E
