New Year

Happy New Year! It is good to be back in the studio. We are excited about this episode because we love a new year, a time for new beginnings, and fresh starts. It is a time for us to evaluate what has worked for us this last year and what adjustments we need to make going forward into the new year. It is a time of gratitude as we remember God’s faithful in our lives. To time to seek God and ask Him what He has for us this year, and what our assignment is in this new year.

The past couple of years have been pretty crazy in our world, but God has been so faithful to us in the midst of the chaos.

We plan to have a theme for the month to focus our conversation. Since we are in a new year, and everyone is making goals, and plans for the year. I thought a great theme to kick off the new year is GROWTH. It is important for us to constantly be learning and growing. This helps us become better people.

Scripture Reference

We love these words in Isaiah 43:16-21 ESV, they are a reminder to let go the past and see that God is doing a new thing!

“Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, who brings forth chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick: “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wild beasts will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches,
for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise”. -

Faithful Provider

God not only makes a way for us, and provides for us in unexpected ways, he wants to do a new thing in our lives. Peter talks about God’s provision and how it is a storehouse year, by gathering provisions and shoring up weaknesses, and creating multiple streams of income.

Personal Growth and Development

As a couple, we can support each other's personal, professional, and spiritual development in a number of ways: First, we can encourage each other to set goals and pursue growth opportunities. Whether it's practicing spiritual disciplines like prayer, fasting, and Bible study or personal and professional development like exercise and eating healthy or taking a course, attending a conference, or networking with other professionals, encourage each other to set goals and take steps to grow and learn. Share some examples in the way we we’ve encouraged one another, and some ideas about encouraging and supporting one another.

Grow Together

Seek out opportunities to learn and grow together. Find areas of passion to learn, and grow together helps to tie heart string with one another, and builds one another up. Purse shills, interest, and hobbies together.

Provide and Receive Constructive Criticism

Another way we can encourage one another is by providing feedback and constructive criticism: Offering honest and respectful feedback on each other's work and ideas. Seeking to understand each other's perspective and be open to constructive criticism.
